Ways to get involved
Preserve your memories
We need you, as members of this community, to talk to your relatives and neighbors who may remember, or know someone, or have heard stories about Saluda’s African American community from the early 20th century. We can facilitate recording oral histories, archiving documents or photographs, or digitizing those photos and documents so that people can keep those original copies, and still help to preserve this valuable history. Contact us to receive updates about the Reclamation Park project, or to share your story.

Volunteer Opportunities
This fall SCLT will host a series of volunteer days to help prepare the land at Reclamation Park. Activities will include invasive species removal and trail building. If outdoor work is not your thing, we will also have opportunities for volunteers to help with our upcoming fundraising event at the end of summer. If you have special research skills, like knowing how to navigate deeds and other public records, we could use your help! Use the contact form on the homepage to get in touch about any of these opportunities.
